“Peace begins with a smile.” – Mother Teresa

While olive-green is the traditional colour of peace, it also colours conjures up all thoughts associated with the military. Over the years, it has become a fashion staple and has proven its staying power. When you look at some of the fashion pieces we wear, for example – combat boots, parkas, pants, shirts …etc. – you name it, it is evident that designers like H & M, Kanye West or Balmain have taken inspiration for their lines from history.

With the rise of the military-influenced aesthetic, it only makes sense that olive-green stays on trend. For this look, I kept my make-up clean and simple as I let the look do all the talking. With the skirt adding texture, the injection of pink, blush tones, and grey completed the look. Oozing femininity, this look is perfect for any summer day.

Do you have any olive-green in your closet? What made you invest in the piece?
